AutoResponder

Autoresponders are often used as e-mail marketing tools, to immediately provide information to their prospective customers and then follow-up with them at preset time intervals.

FOLLOW-UP is the operative word here, and it is the only reason for using an AutoResponder. Use the Autoresponder as it was intended (with the Double Opt-in Confirmation Process and subscription form) and everything will be OK. Ignoring the Canspam Act∞ is no excuse for being a blatant source of spam!
